NembaNotes itself does not collect your notes or personal identifiers. AppLovin MAX (third‑party ads SDK) may process device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID/IDFA), IP address, coarse location, and ad interaction events for ad delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and measurement.

Your Data. Always Yours.

  • Local Storage: Notes are saved only in a secure SQLite database on your device.
  • No Automatic Sync: Nothing is uploaded or synced unless you explicitly export or transfer.
  • Secure Local Transfer: Wi‑Fi transfer stays on your local network and is protected with your passphrase and optional encryption.

Advertising and Third‑Party SDKs (AppLovin MAX)

NembaNotes displays in‑app advertisements using the AppLovin MAX SDK. We do not send your note content to AppLovin. The SDK may collect/process:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., Google Advertising ID/AAID, Apple IDFA), IP address, coarse location.
  • Ad performance and interaction data (impressions, clicks), basic device signals (app version, OS, model).
  • For purposes of ad delivery, personalization (where permitted), frequency capping, fraud detection, and measurement.

Consent and Controls

  • iOS (ATT): Where required, we request AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) permission before accessing IDFA for personalized ads. If you deny, ads will be non‑personalized.
  • EEA/UK (GDPR ePrivacy): Where required, we will present a consent prompt for personalized ads. You can withdraw consent at any time; ads will then be non‑personalized.
  • Android Advertising ID: You can reset or limit ad personalization in your device settings.

Transfers and Backups

You decide when and how notes move:

  • CSV Export/Import: Create backups or move notes in bulk. Files are saved to storage you select.
  • Local Wi‑Fi Transfer: Send notes between your devices on the same network using a shared passphrase with optional encryption.

Because we don't handle your data, we can't lose it, sell it, or share it. Your privacy is protected by the security features of your own device.

App Permissions (by feature)

  • Local Network: Needed only for optional Wi‑Fi transfers between your devices. No internet servers are used for transfers.
  • Photos/Media: Lets you insert images into notes when you choose a photo. Images remain on your device/database.
  • Files/Storage: Used for CSV export/import that you initiate. You choose the location.
  • Advertising: AppLovin MAX may access the device’s advertising identifier and related OS APIs to show ads.

Permissions are requested at runtime only when you use these features.

Tracking and Analytics

We do not include third‑party analytics or crash reporters. Advertising via AppLovin MAX may use device identifiers for ad personalization/measurement subject to consent and OS settings. Your note content is never used for advertising.

Children’s Privacy

NembaNotes is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app is configured not to treat the audience as child‑directed for ads purposes (e.g., COPPA).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this page if app capabilities change (e.g., ad partners, consent flow). Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
